Review :
Yn dilyn cyhoeddir gyfrol Beirdd Bror Eisteddfod y llynedd, i gyd-fynd ag Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Sir Ddinbych ar Cyffiniau, roedd yn braf gweld cyfrol gyffelyb yn cael ei chyhoeddi ar gyfer Eisteddfod Sir Gr eleni. Y golygydd y tro hwn yw Geraint Roberts, y gwr a oedd yn gadeirydd Is-bwyllgor Llenyddiaeth yr Eisteddfod eleni. Ceir pennod agoriadol yn dwyn y teitl Traddodiad Barddol Sir Gaerfyrddin, gan Tudur Hallam. Mae hon yn bennod werthfawr, gryno syn olrhain traddodiad barddol y sir yn l i gyfnodau cynnar llenyddiaeth Gymraeg, ac yn gosod beirdd y sir drwyr canrifoedd yn eu cyd-destun Cymreig. Datblygodd y traddodiad o gyfnod y cywyddau cynnar drwodd i ganu newydd y vers libre. Pennod lawn gwybodaeth, felly, am rai o geiliogod disgleiriaf y sir, chwedl yr awdur. Cerddi gan bedwar ar bymtheg o feirdd cyfoes y sir yw cynnwys y gyfrol pedwar ar ddeg o ddynion a phum merch, ac yn eu plith mae nifer o brifeirdd. Fe'u cyflwynir i ni yn nhrefn yr wyddor, ac mae bywgraffiad byr a diddorol yn rhagflaenu cerddi pob un ohonynt. Fel y gellid disgwyl, mae amrywiaeth eang yng nghynnwys y cerddi ar mesurau, ac mae lle amlwg ir caeth ar rhydd. Yn naturiol, mae nifer fawr or cerddi wedi'u gwreiddio yn nhir a daear Sir Gr, ac eraill yn sn am wrthrychau a phobl syn gysylltiedig r lle. O droi at Mene Tecel Sir Gaerfyrddin gan Peter Hughes Griffiths, a luniwyd ar gyfer Gwyl Gyhoeddi'r Eisteddfod eleni, cawn banorama o hanes, traddodiadau ac enwogion y sir, o dderwen Myrddin hyd at ddyddiau Gerald, Grav a Roy a Delme. Yn ogystal r enwau cyfarwydd, maen braf gweld yma gerddi mewn print gan feirdd sydd heb gyhoeddi llawer ou gwaith. Er enghraifft, pleser mawr i min bersonol oedd darllen cerddi Arwyn Evans o Gynghordy, gwr y cefais y fraint o gydweithio ag ef am flynyddoedd yn Ysgol Uwchradd Aberhonddu, a gwr a fun ddylanwad mawr ar y Twm Morys ifanc. Mae gan ei gerddi rhydd ryw naws delynegol hyfryd, ac mae Arwyn yn gynganeddwr medrus iawn hefyd, fel y dengys ei englynion. Er bod y gwragedd yn y lleiafrif yn y gyfrol, maer pump sydd yma yn feirdd or iawn ryw. Go brin fod angen cyflwyno Mererid Hopwood i lengarwyr Cymru y ferch sydd eisoes wedi cipior Gadair, y Goron ar Fedal Ryddiaith yn ein Prifwyl. Maer un naws ar tynerwch ag a gafwyd yn ei hawdl Dadeni yn Eisteddfod Sir Ddinbych 2001 iw canfod yma mewn cerddi megis Alaw a Hwiangerdd Afon Tywi. Ym mhumdegau a chwedegaur ganrif ddiwethaf fe gyhoeddwyd cyfres o lyfrau mewn cloriau glas yn cynnwys cerddi beirdd gwahanol siroedd, gydag Awen yn y teitl, er enghraifft Awen Myrddin. Rhaid llongyfarch pobl Sir Ddinbych a diolch iddynt am roi cychwyn ar gyfres arall gyffelyb o gynnyrch beirdd bror gwahanol eisteddfodau. Wn i ddim a ywn fwriad gan Faldwyn i barhau r gyfres y flwyddyn nesaf pan ddawr Eisteddfod i Feifod, ond gobeithion fawr y gwneir hynny. Yn y cyfamser, prynwch y gyfrol ddifyr ac amrywiol hon, a mwynhewch beth o gynnyrch beirdd Sir Gr, gan ddiolch ir sir honno am roi i nir fath wyl wych eleni.
