Excerpt: Aka is an African Cape Buffalo accidentally gained the power to morph. Aka the Widow-Maker is an African Cape Buffalo accidentally gained the power to morph from the Escafil device. During her rampaging she acquired Chapman's and Visser Three's DNA. Aka ia also called the "Buffa-Human" because she could only morph halfway. Cassie was convinced that Aka was learning, since she was mimicking human speech. Much to Cassie's dismay, the 'Buffa-Human' was shot and killed by Dracon beam fired by a Hork-Bajir-Controller. Big Jim is a gorilla housed in The Gardens and acquired by Marco as his main battle morph. Big Jim is an adult male silverback gorilla living in a habitat at The Gardens. When the Animorphs intially entered The Gardens to acquire battle morphs to attack the Yeerk pool, it was Marco who acquired Big Jim. Big Jim was Marco's very first morph, and became his primary battle morph. Later when the Animorphs began recruiting new members, one of the new recruits also acquired Big Jim for use as a battle morph. The "Cassie-Ant" is a fire ant that accidentally gained the power to morph. The "Cassie-Ant" is a fire ant that accidentally gained the power to morph from the Escafil device.
