Excerpt: Airthorns were mechanoids originally built by the Luminoth to patrol local airspace on the planet Aether. When the war broke out between their masters and the invading Ing, they proved to be a boon to the war effort of the Luminoth, until their programming finally failed for an undisclosed reason.
