Although due to the smaller skill list when compared to Dead Rising, the odds of gaining skills are smaller compared to the odds of acquiring a Combo Card. Missions act as side quests for Chuck Greene to complete during the course of 72 Hour Mode. They replace the scoops of the original Dead Rising. Missions differ from Cases as they are completely optional and not required to complete the story, making missions akin to "side quests." Most missions require you to find and rescue survivors either from psychopaths, zombies or themselves. Chuck can earn Prestige Points and level up by completing missions.
