About the Book

This comprehensive volume delves deep into the intricate interplay between cardiac and respiratory functions during the application of noninvasive ventilation (NIV) support devices in patients with acute or chronic heart failure disorders. Authored by leading experts in critical care, cardiology and emergency medicine, this book offers an indispensable resource for healthcare professionals seeking a thorough understanding of this vital aspect of patient care.   With the widespread adoption of NIV support measures in both acute and chronic heart failure cases, based on robust clinical evidence and international guidelines, the need for a focused examination of their physiological, clinical and therapeutic implications has never been more pressing. This work provides a meticulous analysis of NIV support systems in the context of heart failure, covering a range of topics including pathophysiology, clinical impact, treatment modalities, and prognosis.   Readers will gain valuable insights into the optimal selection and initiation of NIV support measures, empowering them to make informed decisions that enhance patient outcomes. Unlike other publications on NIV support, this thematic volume offers a holistic approach that encompasses all acute and chronic scenarios of clinical application, ensuring its relevance across various clinical settings.   Whether readers are cardiologists, intensivists, pulmonologists, or emergency medicine physicians, this book equips them with the essential knowledge and skills needed to navigate the complex landscape of noninvasive ventilation in acute and chronic heart failure disorders. Dive into this fundamental thematic volume in NIV support contributing to improve patient care and outcomes.
