Excerpt: The ATA Gene (and other similar genes) are genetic markers that allow the use of certain equipment. The ATA gene is naturally "activated" in only 4% of the human population, with wraith genetic material in a far higher amount (expected to be around 35-50%), although it has been naturally "activated" resulting in Wraith on Earth, in two different "sects" that are at war covertly, giving rise to the myths of vampires and succubi.
