Excerpt: Aether is a drow rogue and woman of mystery from Bisau. She is beautiful, sassy, bold, and extremely eager to knock out and/or shank people at the slightest provocation. Little is known about her past and capabilities at present. She has been described as an assassin, but unlike Claire is not a spellcaster. Aether was romantically involved with Flapjack, a drow attempting to rebel against the high council of Bisau. At some point they broke up, and he now follows her around, attempting to rekindle their love. She has also had some sort of unpleasant dealing with the docks at Bisau, where she is unwelcome, but the party is not privy to the details. She left Bisau while very drunk in about 1442, and missed its destruction at the hands of The Annihilator. Aether, scantily clad and dual-wielding red and blue swords, appeared in one of Leilah Maloch's dreams. Aether herself suddenly appeared in a barrel on the Jade Kracken III as The Company was negotiating customs in Nyasa's Reach. She traded the information that the customs agents were actually robbers for a place in in Bona Fortuna, Inc., and shortly thereafter proved a great help in navigating her hometown of Bisau. ...
