Excerpt: The Astral Plane is one of the infinite planes of the multiverse. It is dotted by fixed portals leading to other planes, such as the Prime Material Plane. It is populated by, among other things, djinni and efreeti. Don't mess with them. Baldur is a seaside nation-state to the south of Goneril and to the north of Malvont City on The Northern Continent. Its capital is Baldur City. It has been, at various times, a limited democracy under the Guildhome System, a Revolutionary Dictatorship, and a Zone of Anarchy. Baldur was settled in 1200 FA by colonists from Malvont City. The peninsula's ample farmland made for incredible prosperity for those fleeing the overcrowded streets of Malvont. The first government was a hereditary monarchy under the Dudek kings, whose pious nature lead to the creation of the first Pantheon in Baldur City. Baldur gained independence from Malvont in 1220 FA.
