Yolanda Eisenstein
Yolanda Eisenstein is an attorney with experience in animal, wildlife, and nonprofit law. She is president of the Animal Law Commission of Paris-based Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA), where she focuses on internatinal wildlife issues and represents the UIA at the United Nations in New York. She is vice chair of the ABA International Law Section Animal Law Committee. In 2018, Eisenstein received the ABA Excellence in the Advancement of Animal Law Award in recognition of her work to advance the humane treatment of animals through the law. She developed and taught the first animal law and wildlife courses at SMU Dedman School of Law. Eisenstein’s books include Careers in Animal Law, The American Bar Association Guide to Dog Laws, and Wildlife Law and Ethics (co-editor with Bruce Wagman). She was a contributor to Animal Cruelty: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Understanding.
