Vanessa KenonVanessa Hammler Kenon , Ed.D., is the Associate Vice President Technology Compliance and Community Engagement and oversees the audit, compliance, and risk services sections of the University Technology Solutions (UTS) department. She also supervises he department’s experiential learning Bold Careers Ambassadors and Interns Program and acts as the department liaison for UTS’ internal and external community outreach and engagement. Dr. Kenon is an important UTS connection to UTSA (The University of Texas at San Antonio) students, professors, and staff. She is a member of several UTSA committees and task forces that support technology, student success, community engagement, eSports and game design student programs, audit and compliance, and the UTSA annual United Way SECC (State Employee Charitable Campaign). She also serves as an EDUCAUSE Ambassador and is on the state TASSCC Board. She is also a member of the American Education Research Association. Dr. Kenon has over 30 years of experience in higher education positions of instruction, leadership, and management in both private and public higher education programs, with 28 of those years spent overseeing technology-related departments and initiatives.
