Thomas E PlattThomas Platt is an Assistant Professor and Vice Program Director of Emergency Medicine at the School of Health and Rehavilitation Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh and the Associate Director of Education and International Emergency Medicine atthe Center for Emergency Medicine.Mr. Platt has assisted in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of many national projects, including his service as a technical advisor for the EMT-Basic: National Standard Curriculum (NSC), Co-Principal Investigator for the First Repsonder: NSC, and a writer for the EMT-Intermediate and EMT-Paramedic: NSC. Mr. Platt has more than 20 years of prehospital experience. He has authored nemerous textbook chapters, instructional guides, and video scripts. Most recently, has has worked on EMS system development in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Iceland.Mr. Platt has an undergraduate degree in Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master's Degree in Adult Education from Penn State University. He is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Pittsburgh School of Education.
