Sandip DharaProf. Dr. Sandip Dhara has completed his Masters in Physics from IIT, Kharagpur in 1989. He finished his Ph.D. from National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi in 1994 and joined IGCAR in 1996. He is a Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry.

Presenty he is the Head of the Surface and Nanoscience Division, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam and Professor of Homi Bhabha National Institute. He was also a visiting Professor in University of Valencia, Spain; Technical University of Chemnitz, Germany; and Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences, Academia Sinica, Taiwan. Dr. Dhara has published more than 300 research publications s. He is the recipient of DAE-SRC outstanding researcher award for 2012. He is also on the editorial broad of number of national and international scientific journals. Dr. Dhara is specialized in studies of light-matter interaction.
