A pilot at the age of seventeen, and a lover of the sea with over two decades of sailing experience, he currently resides in Yuma, Arizona, along with his wife of many years. A daughter, Aurora, also resids in Yuma and long-time friend Carol, who styles herself "a daughter by choice," is a resident of Washington State.
