George PerantoniGeorge Perantoni, son of Victor, our story's wine merchant who migrated with the family to Australia in 1949 due to repressive socio-economic conditions in post-war Italy, spent ten years growing up as an "Aussie" kid. His early teen years were spentat Lake Garda in northern Italy, before moving to the United States where he completed his education, earning a degree at the University of Wisconsin.
