S B SinghDr. S.B. Singh did his M.Sc. (Ag) and Ph.D. from Institute of Agriculture Sciences, Kanpur and Kanpur University in 1972 and 1977, respectively. He had been awarded Gold and Silver medal for securing highest marks in Plant Breeding and Genetics at unversity level. He has also been recipient of Indian Council of Agricultural Research Fellowship. Dr. Singh is fellow of Indian Society of Genetics and Plant Breeding and Sugarcane Technologists Association of India. He has published over 100 research articles in the journals of international repute. He has published two edited books to his credit. He is also member of editorial board of 'Sugar Tech', an international journal on sugar crops and related industries. He has visited many scientific laboratories and sugar mills of Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Thailand and China. He has been actively involved in the research of sugarcane breeding for the last 26 years. Presently, Dr. Singh is Director, U.P.
