Peter J. SchramPeter Schram has spent over 50 years participating in electrical codes- and safety-making activities. He worked in the Engineering Department of the Underwriters Laboratories' for 30 years, with ten of them spent managing the group responsible for th evaluation of the electrical equipment for use in hazardous locations. During this time, he was the UL representative on a number of NFPA technical committees including the National Electric Code Technical Committee's Code-Making Panel 14 and the Technical Committee on Electrical Equipment in Chemical Atmospheres. Following his career at the UL, Schram was the NFPA's Chief Electrical Engineer, responsible for the preparation of the National Electric Code®and other electrical standards.
