Mark W. EarleyMark W. Earley, P.E. is assistant vice president of the Engineering Division at NFPA. He is secretary of the committee on the National Electrical Code®, the U.S. co-secretary of the correlating committees on Electrical Installations, an associate memer of the Canadian Electrical Code Part I, and a member of the Electrical Council of Underwriters Laboratories, the Electrical and Electronics Standards Board of the American National Standards Institute, the Executive Committee of the U.S. National Committee on the International Electrotechnical Commission, and the Safety Council of Inchcape ETL Laboratories. Mr. Earley is also a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and the Society of Fire Protection Engineers. He was the editor of the 1990, 1993, and 1996 editions of the National Electrical Code Handbook. Prior to joining NFPA he was with the Factory Mutual Research Corporation for eight years.
