Michael V DayMichael V. Day is a journalist who was the editor of the Bahá'í World News Service at the Bahá'í World Centre in Haifa, Israel from 2003 to 2006, where he lived and worked within a few hundred metres of the Shrine of the Báb. Born and raised in New Zaland, Michael was briefly a lawyer before becoming a newspaper reporter, leader writer and editor. He first visited the Shrine of the Báb while on pilgrimage in 1980. After moving to Australia in 1988 with his wife, Chris, and sons Thomas and George, he was a journalist with Murdoch University in Perth before joining the staff of The West Australian newspaper where he was a national award-winning education and feature writer. Michael was then appointed the newspaper's Asia Desk Chief, specializing in covering Indonesia, and being awarded the Perth Press Club Award for consistent excellence, and the University of Western Australia's prestigious Arthur Lovekin award.
