He is Professor Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where he worked with pre-service and in-service teachers for 29 years as a professor and department chair in the epartment of Literacy and Language. Ford has consulted with teachers throughout the world. He is the author or editor of 11 books focused on elementary literacy classroom programs and practices.
