Michael GilmoreMichael Gilmore grew up and has lived most of his adult life in Orinda, California. He has always loved the outdoors, the open spaces and rolling hills of the East Bay. Early on he discovered an artistic talent which he developed through sketching th world around him. In his career as a general contractor and construction litigation expert, Mike utilized his ability to use graphic representations to tell stories. His skills were important in preparing trial exhibits and technical drawings, and they were sought after even by opposing sides. In retirement on his travels throughout the U.S. and Europe, Mike could often be found sketching to chronicle his experiences. He has mentored his five grandchildren on the value of keeping a sketch book to journal their adventures. Mike was delighted to work with Jim Roethe on illustrating his book of Enchanting Tales.
