James RoetheJames Roethe is a retired attorney who has spent the last 20 or so years traveling, chasing birds and writing. Several of his books focus on birds, as does Enchanting Tales. Jim lives in Orinda, California, a suburb of San Francisco. He is a member o the Golden Gate Birding Alliance, has for years led birders during the annual Christmas Bird Count sponsored by Golden Gate and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and spends much of his free time in the hills and Bayshore areas near his home looking for birds.As a further side light, Jim has sung with several choirs in the East Bay area.Jim's previous books have focused on his travels and birding activities. The idea of writing a children's book did not come to light until he began to make up stories for two of his grandchildren. They proved to be interesting and so this book became a reality.
