Mark A FreitagMark Freitag is currently an Associate Professor at Augusta State University. He has a Ph.D. in mathematics education from the University of Georgia and a M.S. in mathematics from the Memphis State University. He has taught mathematics content course for pre-service elementary and middle grades teachers for over 15 years in a variety of settings from small private colleges to large public universities. Dr. Freitag�s scholarly interests include classroom communication issues such as improving students� reading comprehension in mathematics and developing strategies for moving students from learning that is dependent on the instructor to independent learning.
