Kapil GuptaDr. Kapil Gupta is a Professor, in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Technology, University of Johannesburg — Johannesburg, South Africa. He received his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Mnufacturing (IIITDM), Jabalpur, India. He served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Oriental College of Technology, Bhopal, India, from 2013 to 2020. His research interests include biomedical signal processing, time-frequency analysis, artificial intelligence, and cardiovascular systems. He has authored research publications in international journals and conference proceedings and has edited scholarly books in his areas of expertise. Dr. Gupta serves as a reviewer for journals and conferences and has contributed to the organization of national and international academic events, including roles on technical program and publicity committees. He has been involved in projects related to automatic diabetes detection and breathing-controlled wheelchairs and holds patents and copyrights.
