John M. AnderiesJohn M. Anderies is a professor at Arizona State University with joint appointments in the School of Human Evolution and Social Change, the School of Sustainability, and the School of Complex Adaptive Systems. Professor Anderies directs the Behavior,Economics, and Nature research program at the Beijer Institute of Ecological Economics, a research institute under the auspices of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. He is also Associate Director of the Center for Behavior, Institutions and the Environment at Arizona State University. He joined the ASU faculty in 2002 after receiving his Ph.D. in Mathematics from The University of British Columbia in 1998. His current research interests focus on robust management and robust institutional design for coupled infrastructure systems with applications in transportation, energy, water, and global change.
