Jay SinghDr. Jay Singh has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Institute of Sciences at Banaras Hindu University since 2017. He received his Ph.D. degree in Polymer Science from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technologyin 2010 and received his MSc and BSc from Allahabad University, Uttar Pradesh, India. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the National Physical Laboratory in New Delhi, Chonbuk National University in South Korea and Delhi Technological University. He has also received many prestigious fellowships like the CSIR (RA), DST-Young scientist fellowship, DST-INSPIRE faculty award and more. His research interests include the development of various chemically and biologically synthesized nanomaterials and their nanobiocomposite, conducting polymer and self-assembled monolayers and their application in biosensors. He has published more than 160 international research papers with total citations of more than 6000 and a h-index of 43. He has completed various research projects in different funding agencies and he has more than 18 edited or authored books and has authored more than 60 book chapters for publications with Elsevier, Springer Nature, IOP, Wiley, and CRC. He has also successfully handled many special issues in various journals with Elsevier, Willey Springer, MDPI and Frontiers. He is currently actively engaged in fabricating sustainable metal oxide-based biosensors for clinical diagnosis, food packaging applications, drug delivery and tissue engineering applications.
