James StanleyRob Beman, aka James Stanley was born a twin in Westfield, Massachursetts in 1942. His pen name couples the middle names of this twin brother, James, and his own, Stanley. The twins were raised in Westfield and Rob continues to reside there, married 1 years to his high school sweetheart Carole. Rob and Carole have four children and ten grandchildren ranging in age from six to twenty-two, all also residing in Westfield. Rob graduated magna cum laude from the school of engineering at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst in 1964. He received a Masters in Business Administration from Western New England College in 1978, after attending evening classes while employed on the corporate staff of a Springfield-based national firm. He retired in 2007 after 42 years at the same firm with increasingly more influential positions in engineering, manufacturing, finance, and supply chain management. Rob began writing fictional novels in 2000 while in his late fifties, a lifelong promise to himself that he has accelerated after his retirement, as Bad Moon Rising is his 8th work. In addition to writing, Rob is a prolific reader, walks two miles daily, attends current films and luncheons with his twin brother, enjoys golf with his son and grandsons, bets the ponies on-line, religiously follows the New York Yankees, attends family functions and the many activities of the grandchildren, and frequently spends time in Saratoga Springs, New York and its thoroughbred race track in the summer along with its casino many other times throughout the year with his love and constant companion Carole.
