James C. Stanley

James C. Stanley has edited 11 medical books, including 5 editions of Current Therapy in Vascular Surgery (the latest title - Current Therapy in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery). He served as Editor of the Journal of Vasclar Surgery (1991-1996) and has authored more than 180 book chapters and 360 peer-reviewed articles in surgical journals including more than 40 on pediatric vascular diseases. He has served as the president of the Society for Vascular Surgery and is a member of more than 35 learned societies. He is an internationally recognized academic surgeon, having received honorary membership in the Royal College of Surgeons-Edinburgh, the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons-Vascular Surgery Section, and the Columbian National Academy of Medicine. He is currently a Professor Emeritus of Surgery at the University of Michigan. He is a member of the Pediatric Vascular Surgery Task Force of the Society for Vascular Surgery and American Pediatric Surgical Association.
