Glen Van AndelReceived his Re.D. from Indiana University and was Professor of Recreation at Calvin College until his retirement in 2008. He co-authored an introductory textbook in therapeutic recreation entitled Therapeutic Recreation: A Practical Approach and haspresented numerous papers at professional conferences and published several articles in professional journals. Glen was a founding member of the Christian Society for Kinesiology, Leisure, and Sport Studies and his scholarly interests lie in the areas of therapeutic recreation, philosophy of leisure, and Christian perspectives on play and leisure.
