An active member of the International Dyslexia Associatin and the Learning Disabilities Association of America, she serves as a board member for SENG (Supporting the Emotional Needs of the Gifted) and the American Occupational Therapy Association. A graduate of Harvard and the University of California-San Francisco School of Medicine, she has been on the neurology faculties of the University of Washington, the University of California-San Francisco, and the University of Chicago School of Medicine.
