Fazal RizviFazal Rizvi is an Emeritus Professor of Global Studies in Education at the University of Melbourne, as well as at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is also a Visiting Professor at the Universities of Turku in Finland and Pretoria in outh Africa. He has written extensively on issues of identity and culture in transnational contexts, globalization and education policy, and Australia–Asia relations. He has published widely, and his book, coauthored with Bob Lingard, Globalizing Education Policy (Routledge 2010) is used widely in courses around the world. A sequel to this book, Reimagining Globalization and Education (Routledge 2022) has been published recently. Fazal is currently researching educational reform in Bhutan. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Social Sciences, a past Editor of the journal, Discourse: Studies in Cultural Politics of Education, and a past President of the Australian Association of Research in Education.
