David Holyoak
David Holyoak holds a PhD on Quaternary environments and biota at the University of Reading. An interest in bryophytes arose during studies of Quaternary moss fossils in the 1970s. This was extended during postdoctoral research comparing English fssil floras with modern arctic vegetation. Following five years of lecturing, David worked as a botanical consultant from 1990 to 2009. He is now retired but continues to be actively involved in the British Bryological Society.
