Dave Kissoondoyal is a Mauritian civic leader, activist, and author whose life has been shaped by perseverance, dignity, and service. For over two decades, he served at the heart of political life in Mauritius, dedicating himself to public service, community organizing, and standing for those whose voices were too often unheard. When betrayal and silence met his loyalty, Dave made a courageous choice: to step away from partisan politics and speak truth directly to the people. In 2025, he founded the STOP movement (San Tous Ou Pension) as a cry for justice and dignity for Mauritius' elders, and his personal hunger strike - lasting 11 days and pushing him to the brink of death - became a symbol of conscience and resolve.
