Dan KragerDan Krager is formerly Manager of Information Systems, HIPAA Officer and HIPAA Security Officer for Richland Memorial Hospital. Dan earned a bachelor of science degree from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. He is a certified network engineer withNovell Systems, Cisco systems and Linux, with over 15 years of experience in computer and network applications for hospital settings. As HIPAA officer and HIPAA security officer, Dan enabled Richland Memorial Hospital to move toward compliance. He worked closely with Illinois Hospital Association to build a statewide infrastructure that enables health care organizations to interconnect electronically. As that infrastructure has matured, it has changed the way health care information is exchanged.
