Cami AbelCami Abel (Belding) was born and raised in sunny Southern California, into family of skilled artists and craftsmen. With lots of encouragement to follow her heart, early on she knew that somehow she would connect her love of nature with drawing skill and kids. Science, Kids and Art, a natural combination. She illustrates for nature guides, aquariums and museums, trail signage and label design. She spends her time divvied up between raising her two boys, ocean swimming, running a small design business as an Illustrator and Photographer, and working as a Garden Coordinator for an outdoor education nonprofit organization.... and when that is all said and done, they pack up the family and head south to Mexico for big nature. Kiko the Hawaiian Wave is Cami's first published work as a Children's Book Illustrator.
