Beth NavarroBeth Navarro was born and raised in Downers Grove, Illinois surrounded by a family of teachers and storytellers. While working at Vroman's bookstore in Pasadena, California, she learned writing for kids was her passion. Since then, she has been nominted the past four years for the Los Angeles Business Journal "Women Who Make a Difference" award for her writing. She is also a card-carrying member of SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators). Her young adult novels been acknowledged by SCBWI including a first place win at the 2012 Los Angeles Writer's Day and an honorable mention and recognition for the Sue Alexander grant. She is also a proud member of "The New Hollywood", a women's goal group who support each other to achieve personal and professional goals while giving back to the community. Beth currently lives and writes for children and teens in Los Angeles, where she drinks tea, hangs out with her family and writes stories while listening to intense Hans Zimmer soundtracks.
