(He was a bookish lad.) From there it was a fairly straight line fom maritime history to the industrial revolution and its Victorian 'high-technology, ' and finally, the history of economics and finance. (As an employee, NOT an inmate.) Along the way, he got very good at explaining complicated things to people. For example, factoring polynomials in the morning and the English Civil War in the afternoon.Harvey currently makes his home in San Francisco just to be able to take long walks in the city. Besides writing, he wastes an astonishing amount of enjoyable time building model ships from scratch and does a little fancy woodwork on the side. Read More Read Less
