Aymeric Hermann

Aymeric Hermann is a post-doctoral researcher at the Max-Planck Institute for the Science of Human History in Jena, Germany. Since 2010, he has directed archaeological projects in several archipelagos of French Polynesia as well as in cenral Vanuatu. His research addresses the settlement history of Polynesia and the Polynesian Outliers, the sociotechnical relations between technical systems and social organisations, and the evolution of inter-island voyaging and interconnectivity in the Pacific.
