Andréa S. TaschettoAndréa S. Taschetto is Associate Professor in the Climate Change Research Centre at the University of New South Wales, Australia. She is also a researcher at the Australian Research Council (ARC) Centres of Excellence for Climate Extremes and the Weaher of the 21st Century, and the Climate Systems Hub of the National Environmental Science Program (NESP). Her research investigates the mechanisms by which the oceans affect global and regional climate, including the impacts associated with the different types of El Niño–Southern Oscillation on the atmospheric circulation and extremes such as droughts and floods. Andréa was awarded the Dorothy Hill Award from the Australian Academy of Science in 2016 for her contribution to the climate science field. She is currently a co-chair of the CLIVAR Pacific Regional Panel and a member of the Tropical Basin Interactions Research Foci.
