Alessio Di Simone is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, University of Naples Federico II. Since 2022, he has been Assistant Professor in Electromagnetic Fields after working at the Univrsity as a

research Fellow from 2017 to 2021. His main research interests are in the field of microwave remote sensing and applied electromagnetics including: modeling of the electromagnetic scattering from natural surfaces, urban areas, and artificial targets; simulation and processing of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and Global Navigation Satellite System Reflectometry (GNSS-R) data.
