About the Book

Whether you are in your first sales position or your fortieth, this book will help you. If you catch just ONE thing that you can add to your repertoire that leads to a deal, then reading this will have been worth your time.

I fully believe that none of us are as smart as all of us, and sometimes, hearing information in a new way can inspire a change or light a fire of momentum that will carry you to new places. As you read this book, you may ask yourself, "Is it really that simple?" The answer will be a loud & resounding, "Yes!" Humans have a tendency to over-complicate the mess out of nearly everything we do. We use nine words when five will do. We feel better to "think about it" when it's time for a new item to buy than to just act upon it, even though our mind was made up before we even got to the store. We research, then research, and research some more. I once had a client meeting with a lady on a health insurance plan, and she had almost filled a composition notebook with graphs, charts, and numbers. She was cross-referencing carriers, deductibles, copays, and premiums. In three questions, I was able to show her the EXACT plan she needed. But she spent who knows how many hours writing this all out.

The purpose of me writing this book is to give sales pros of all walks of life simple action items that can be done by anyone that will make an impact on growing their business. Whether you are a fantastic relationship builder that grows a book of residual clients, or you are in a transactional business model that is mostly single item sales, this book will give you pieces to add to your sales arsenal that can be implemented immediately.

About the Author :
Brian has been in the sales profession for over 20 years. He got started in retail at the age of nineteen at a music retail store. Prior to that, Brian had spent the last five years working labor and food service jobs, trading his time for money. The gears switched in sales, and Brian learned to earn by using activity and actions to produce sales results. From 1999-2001, and 2003-2015 Brian was a top-performing salesman, sales manager, and store manager for major retailers such as Mars Music, Ultimate Electronics, Best Buy, Guitar Center, and Office Max. 2002 was spent in car sales at Don Davis Arlington. All of Brian's sales positions were commission based, where the goal was to perfect each stage of the sales process, and maximize all opportunities for deals. Brian got his insurance license in 2005, and from then until 2015 he worked part-time in the senior market offering Medicare health plans, while still being a top performing retail store manager. At the end of 2015, Brian left retail to pursue health and life insurance sales full time. This was a fantastic match of opportunity and environment! In the first four years as a full-time insurance agent and sales manager, Brian wrote over $6 million in annual health insurance premium (with the average policy holder being $5,000 in premium). In 2017, Brian began building a sales team, and in 2018 and 2019, the team produced over $10 million in annual health insurance premium. As of March 2020, Brian currently leads his own brokerage, Insurance of Texas, which services life, health, and senior insurance plans for all 50 states, plus Washington D.C. The agency also offers Property, Casualty and Commercial plans for Texas. Brian also has platforms for insurance leads, and insurance agent recruiting. In June of 2020, Brian took over at the DFW franchise of Insurance Training Academy, offering insurance license exam preparation. In 2021, they expanded into insurance continuing education, and sales skills courses for insurance professionals.
