About the Author :
Janice M. Prochaska, PhD, is cofounder and former CEO of Pro-Change Behavior Systems, Inc. James O. Prochaska, PhD, led the Cancer Prevention Research Center and was professor of clinical psychology at the University of Rhode Island. As the codeveloper of the transtheoretical, or stages of change, model, he is one of the top five most cited authors in psychology. He has received, among others, the Innovators Award from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and an award for Outstanding Contributions to Health Psychology from the American Psychological Association. Walter Dixon is a winner of Audible's "#1 Editor's Choice and Customer Favorites" award. He has narrated more than 200 audiobooks; performed in musical theater, drama and opera productions, and professional stand-up comedy; and voiced commercials, corporate videos, animated features, vintage radio dramas, and audio tours for the Guggenheim and other museums.
