Dass Schulbücher und andere Bildungsmedien verschiedene Perspektiven abbilden und Lernende zu eigener Meinungsbildung befähigen sollen, ist heute breiter wissenschaftlicher sowie schul- und verlagspraktischer Konsens. Doch wie genau ist Multiperspektivität zu erreichen? Und wo liegen ihre Grenzen? Der Sammelband arbeitet den Stand der Forschung zu Bildungsmedien und (Multi-)Perspektivität auf und führt unterschiedliche (trans-)disziplinäre und transnationale Blickwinkel zusammen. Die Beiträge beleuchten Perspektiven und (Multi-)Perspektivität in verschiedenen aktuellen thematischen Zusammenhängen und gesellschaftlichen Kontexten und hinterfragen kritisch, wie Wissen konstruiert und vermittelt wird und wie und ob unterschiedliche Perspektiven Eingang in Bildungsmedien finden. The fact that textbooks and other educational media should reflect different perspectives and enable learners to form their own opinions is widely accepted by academics, schools and publishers. But how exactly can multiperspectivity be achieved? And what are its limits? This anthology reviews the current state of research on educational media and (multi-)perspectivity and brings together different (trans-)disciplinary and transnational perspectives. The contributions shed light on perspectives and (multi-)perspectivity in various current thematic and social contexts and critically question how knowledge is constructed and communicated and how and whether different perspectives find their way into educational media.

Birte Schröder ist Postdoc am Institut für Humangeographie der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main. Zu ihren Forschungsschwerpunkten gehören rassismuskritische Bildung und post-/dekoloniale Theorien.
