About the Book

The Fifth SEI Conference on Software Engineering was held inPittsburgh, Pennsylvania, October 7-8, 1991. This annualconference is a forum for discussion of software engineeringeducation and training among members of the academic,industry, and government communities. It is funded by theEducation Program of the Software Engineering Institute, afederallyfunded research and development center of the U.S. Department of Defense. For the first time in 1991 it washeld in conjunction with the Association for ComputingMachinery and the IEEE Computer Society.
