Besonders betroffen ist die Versicherungsbranche, insbesondere der Ausschließlichkeitsvertrieb, der nicht nur mit einem akuten Nachfolgeproblem konfrontiert ist, sondern auch dringend junge Talente gewinnen und motivieren muss. In diesem Kontext rückt die "Generation Z" - geboren ab 1996 - zunehmend in den Fokus als potenzielle Verkaufskräfte im Vertrieb. Diese Generation bringt frische Perspektiven und eine hohe digitale Affinität mit sich, doch ihre Motivationen und Erwartungen an den Arbeitsplatz unterscheiden sich grundlegend von denen ihrer Vorgänger. Während traditionelle Anreizsysteme wie Wettbewerbsreisen und Agenturkarrieren lange Zeit als Hauptmotivatoren galten, stellt sich heute die Frage, ob diese klassischen Ansätze ausreichen, um die intrinsische Motivation der Generation Z zu aktivieren. Obwohl bereits zahlreiche Studien die Facetten der Arbeitsmotivation beleuchten, gibt es bislang nur wenige spezifische Forschungen zur Motivation der Generation Z im selbstständigen Versicherungsvertrieb der Ausschließlichkeit. Diese empirische Lücke möchte die vorliegende Bachelorarbeit schließen.
