About the Book

This book includes high-quality papers presented at International Conference on Advancement of Intelligent Computing in Data Analysis and Knowledge Discovery (AICDAKD 2025), organized by Techno Bengal Institute of Technology (formerly known as Bengal Institute of Technology) in collaboration with Department of CST, Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, India from December 20–21, 2025. It features research in advancement of intelligent computing in the fields of data analysis and knowledge discovery and related areas.



About the Author :

Asit Kumar Das is a distinguished academic at the Department of Computer Science and Technology, IIEST Shibpur, West Bengal, India. With over two decades of teaching experience and nearly four years in the software industry, he has held key administrative roles, including Head of Department and leadership positions in the Centre for Healthcare Science and Technology and the School of VLSI Technology. He has mentored a SERB-TARE project and supervised twelve Ph.D. scholars, with eight more currently under his guidance. Professor Das has published over 150 research papers in reputed journals like IEEE, Elsevier, and Springer and has authored several books and chapters. With a Google Scholar citation count exceeding 3,000, he also serves on editorial and reviewer boards of prominent journals and conferences. His research focuses on Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing, with applications in medical imaging, social media, and multimedia analysis.


Soumi Dutta is Professor at Sister Nivedita University (SNU) at New Town, Kolkata, India. She has completed her Ph.D(CST), IIEST, Shibpur. She received her B.Tech(IT) and M.Tech(CSE) securing 1st position (Gold medallist), from MAKAUT. She is certified as Publons Academy Peer Reviewer, 2020 and Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator, 2020. Her research interests are Data Mining, Information Retrieval, Online Social Media Analysis and Image Processing. She has published more than 70 conference and journal papers in Springer, IEEE, IGI Global, Taylor & Francis etc. She has 45 Books and Book Chapters in Taylor & Francis Group and IGI Global. She is a peer reviewer and TPC member in different international journals. She is an active member of several technical functional bodies such as CSI, IEEE, IFERP, MACUL, SDIWC, Internet Society, ICSES, ASR, AIDASCO, USERN, IRAN, IAENG. She has published 10 patents and 1 copyright. Dr. Soumi Dutta has delivered 43 Keynote talks in Different International Conferences. She has been awarded with Rashtriya Shiksha Ratna Award, InSc Research Education Excellence Award, International Teacher Award 2020-21 by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.


Souvik Sengupta is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Aliah University, Kolkata. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Calcutta in 2017 and holds an MTech from West Bengal University of Technology. With over 20 years of teaching and research experience, his expertise includes Medical Image Analysis, NLP, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Educational Technology. A recipient of the SERB-TARE Fellowship from DST, he has published extensively in reputed SCI and Scopus-indexed journals. Dr. Sengupta has supervised six Ph.D. scholars (one awarded) and numerous postgraduate projects. He is a Life Member of ISTE and The Institution of Engineers (India).


Thinagaran Perumal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), specializing in smart technologies, robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT). He earned his Ph.D. from UPM, focusing on smart technology and robotics. A leading figure in consumer electronics, he received the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society Early Career Award in 2014. He currently chairs the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society Malaysia Chapter and serves on the IEEE Future Directions Committee on IoT. His research focuses on smart home interoperability, activity recognition for ambient intelligence, and cyber-physical systems. Notable contributions include proactive IoT architectures, semantic frameworks for smart homes, and technologies supporting ambient-assisted living. He has delivered over 10 keynote talks, participated in 5 expert panels, and received four Best Paper Awards. With a Scopus h-index of 13 and over 2,100 citations on Google Scholar, Dr. Perumal is a globally recognized expert, actively shaping the future of IoT through research and leadership.
