About the Author :
Helene Kerillis est originaire d'Aquitaine, cet arc ouvert sur la mer, entre cote atlantique et pins. Nee a Bordeaux, elle s'est d'emblee sentie chez elle dans la lecture et l'ecriture comme moyens d'apprehender le monde. Elle suit des etudes de Lettres Classiques et d'Arts Plastiques, puis s'oriente vers la sylviculture et la litterature pour la jeunesse. Tout ce que les etres humains ont decouvert, invente, imagine l'interesse, Histoire, Arts, Sciences, et ses livres refletent cette curiosite humaniste. Elle a cree en 2008 la collection Pont des arts chez l'editeur L'elan vert, en 2012 la serie Ma premiere mythologie chez Hatier, et en 2013 la collection Art-Fiction chez l'editeur Leon art & stories: il s'agit de textes inspires de tableaux pour entrer dans l'esthetique par le biais de la fiction. Donner acces au patrimoine commun et faire 1/2uvre de creation personnelle sont les axes de son travail. Depuis 1996, elle a publie plus de soixante ouvrages pour un public de 4 a 12 ans, romans, contes, albums et livres d'Art. www.hkerillis.fr Un livre, ce n'est pas un simple objet. Comment travaille l'ecrivain, quelles sont ses sources d'inspiration ? Quelles sont ses relations avec les autres maillons de la chaine du livre ? Tous ces sujets sont abordes avec des manuscrits, tapuscrits, crayonnes, maquettes, feuilles d'imprimerie, catalogues... Pour des rencontres plus formelles, Helene Kerillis propose deux conferences-ateliers: La foret, berceau de l'humanite et Le livre d'Art pour les enfants. Pour des interventions plus longues, Helene Kerillis propose aux enfants de s'initier a la creation litteraire: en donnant sens aux images, personnages ou objets proposes, ils construisent leur propre recit en sollicitant a la fois leur experience quotidienne et leur imagination. Depuis qu'il sait tenir un crayon, Gregoire Vallancien dessine. Il dessine tout, des musiciens de jazz et des danseurs de tango, des grattes ciel et des baobabs, des enfants qui rient et la pluie qui tombe, des soleils qui se couchent et des montgolfieres qui s'envolent... Quelques fois cela peut illustrer des livres pour enfant, d'autres fois, des articles serieux pour les adultes...
