Review :
Wonderful for Students With Anger Management Issues! As a special education teacher for 25 years, this book is wonderful for children with Asbergers and with anger management issues. The illustrations are beautiful and it's great as a read aloud or even for students to read by themselves. Highly recommend !! Mary S. WOW! This Book Hit a Home Run With My Grandkids! Thought is Not the Boss of Me" is a fun read and also a great jumping off point for helping kids make wise choices. Their thoughts really aren't the boss ... just because they think something, doesn't mean they have to do it. If you're looking for a meaningful way of sharing lap time with a little one, check out this book. Peanut Teacher Material! The title says it all! This book is a perfect reminder that we shouldn't let our thoughts get the best of us. We struggle as adults with this subject just imagine what children and teens go through with racing, and sometimes uncontrollable thoughts. This book is perfect in every way! Tejuania Nelson Fun Book. Delivers Important Life Lessons! In an era when too many children are brought up to think primarily of self and instant gratification, books like this are invaluable to show children that self-control is not only possible but desirable. With fun characters that children can relate to, "You're Not the Boss of Me" shows the consequences of actions - both positive and negative -- in a way that is easily understood. It empowers them to reflect on their own thoughts and actions and make good choices. Hats off the the authors and illustrator for a great book delivered at the perfect time. Phyllis P. As an elementary teacher, I would use this book as a powerful tool for social-emotional learning. It is a great introduction to the conversation about our thoughts and how we deal with them. I absolutely recommend this to any teacher or parent of young children. Kendall Newell Sweet and Thought Provoking! This book is perfect for young kids in that battle of the will stage (3-6)! This sweet book is simple enough for little ones to understand but deep enough to prompt discussion about right and wrong and why it is sometimes difficult to choose which path to take. The illustrations are just beautiful as well! K. Eringman Making the Abstract Understandable! This is a great book to read to kids to teach them to take control of their thoughts. When they can understand that they have a choice on what they act on, better actions are more likely to occur. K. Barton Wonderful Children's Book with a Great Message!! Children need to learn at an early age that the nature of their thoughts (good or bad) will have a significant influence on their lives; "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he..." (Proverbs 23:7). "Thought is Not the Boss of Me" is a wonderful book and a powerful tool to teach children the tremendous rewards of good thoughts especially in their relationships with others and with God. Hornet
