About the Book

All The Journeys I Never Took is a collection of poetry and prose which offers a personal account of what it's like to leave behind the middle man - lover, father, priest - and discover our place in the world. A place which echoes with unravelling journeys, first dates, break ups, family and confidences. At turns both confessional and political, this collection explores what a contemporary definition of home might be; something physical, a person, a concept best left behind or a destination to keep heading towards.

About the Author :
Rebecca Tantony is an electric and mesmerising writer. Her work offers a tapestry of intricate themes, bold writing and passionate intensity, creating a lyrical conversation which speaks white hot words straight to the heart. She has performed her work in numerous venues, including the Royal Albert Hall, the Natural History Museum, the Arnolfini, St George's, South Bank Centre and Colston Hall, as well as a scattering of pub toilets. Her short stories, journalism, and poetry have been published in various anthologies and magazines and her recent collection of poetic flash non-fiction, 'Talk You Round Till Dusk,' was published by Burning Eye Books in early 2015. In 2012 she was awarded the Rising Stars Performance Poetry Award and spoke at the annual Mix Conference on the theme of Digital Media and Poetry. Rebecca has written some interesting commissions and has been writer in residence in a variety of libraries, schools and art institutes. When not performing she teaches spoken word in multiple venues, including the Barbican Theatre and Royal Geographical Society. In San Francisco, Rebecca worked for the globally-recognised creative writing centre, 826 Valencia. Currently Rebecca runs the Bristol branch of the prestigious Hammer and Tongue, manages The Wandering Word Workshop Tent and is Co-Director for the Applied Theatre Action Initiative, a California-based arts organisation that works with teenagers across the globe to create solution-focused social change. She also has an intense love of black coffee, the Deep South and possess some questionable dance moves.
