Review :
I wrote this book to provide teachers and leaders with resources that can move others forward without spending endless hours coaching one to one.--Will Thomas This is the perfect partner for 'Coaching Solutions'. The ideas are practical, effective, creative and fun. They enable the school coach to follow their intuition when looking for the appropriate tool for each individual in their one to one sessions. 5/5--Sanford Lakoff Using the unique STRIDE model the book is full of activities to help people become more skilled at each the stages of the model, gain better understanding of how is works and to order their thoughts and get themselves unstuck. I think that's what coaching's about and this book is brilliant at it. I've used many of the activites and found them easy to do and effective in training coaches and with my own coachees. 5/5 --Sanford Lakoff What? No jargon? [...] It is said that there is nothing so practical as a good theory and here is an excellent example. Clear, punchy and instantly usable off the peg activities which address coaching using the STRIDE model. In addition a comprehensive question bank provides the scaffolding for the pragmatist, novice coach to pitch in and get going very quickly. 5/5 --Sanford Lakoff Will Thomas is an educator in the broadest sense. He does not just believe that knowledge sets you free but as all good coaches understand, that learning and personal-development generate well-being and success. This book drives at the heart of learning and personal development as it is applied to 'teaching'. Coaching expands possibilities and potential, it resources students to understand responsibility and consequence, it empowers people to have dominion over their motivation, their aspirations and their vision. [...] I heartily recommend 'Coaching Solutions' and 'Coaching Solutions Resource Book' to educators everywhere. If you do not know this material and are not applying it, you are missing out on a superb opportunity to add-value to your student's well-being and education. 5/5 --Sanford Lakoff
