About the Book

Draig the black Zaurlock has lived on the earth for three hundred years. He has reached the pinnacle of his devastative magic powers but wants more. He has delved in the black arts and experimented with morphing humans into animals with limited success. Rasita Darilus his apprentice is morphed and cannot be restored. As the black Zaurlock cannot find any means to greater power in the earth he seeks power from the evil one of the underworld who engages him as his agent. Because of this relationship the shroud between the earth and the underworld which keeps evil contained it is now torn and evil can bleed forth into the realm. Underworld beings called Heinions roam free in the earth. The black Zaurlock is rejected for the position of Chief Court Zaurlock by King Henrik who favours Draig's younger brother Sagent Nah the white Zaurlock for the role. Nah only practices preservative magic and is the spiritual protector of Princess Megan, Henriks only daughter. He is powerful but is no match for his older brother since he has consorted with the evil one. Draig's powers have spiked tenfold in just one year but his mind becomes affected by the sudden increase. He forms a twisted view that Henrik has done him a massive disservice by rejecting him as Chief Zaurlock. He plans to have his unwarranted revenge by taking over the realm. He uses ten year old Princess Megan as his innocent pawn to get at the king. She is morphed into a fox by Draig using the same spell he used on Rasita but Megan meets with Rasita in the Hajus Woods and they find a solution together and she is released. Three unproclaimed prophecies exist which speak of the rent in the shroud and of a chosen one who will right the wrongs and punish the wicked using the Stone of Deliverance an ancient artefact held at Alabasteil the holy city by The Council of Rah. Sagent Nah and Quan the Gimp are on a quest to bring the Stone to the chosen one so the prophesies can be fulfilled. Megan is back in human form but is again abducted by Draig who morphs her this time into a black panther. In his mania he tortures her to try to make her submit to him. The Holy One intervenes. The prophesies are proclaimed through Quan the Gimp who works with Sagent Nah on the side of good to help the princess. Megan is the chosen one. In the early stages of the morphing an aberration occurs where she is changed into an eighteen year old before becoming fully morphed into a panther. Quan becomes the bearer of the Stone and is to carry the artefact to the princess on the Day of Deliverance. The more mature Megan finds a romantic attraction to Rasita who is of a royal blood line but is disinherited and permanently morphed as a fox. Everything is brought to a head on the Day of Deliverance when Draig falsely thinks he has all the means to conquer the kings' army and rule the earth. Both sides experiences unexpected surprises on the dramatic finale where good prevails over evil and the world is restored to sanity. Megan is made human again and has her first romantic experience.
